We definitely don’t promise too much, when we say: Cycling can’t be more beautiful, food can’t be better and yes, the climbs can’t be steeper than here in the middle of the mighty Dolomites.

Last years very first edition of Gravel Land Alta Badia was a huge success. So, we just had to do this again in 2022. With another trip to the mountains, another trip to Italy, another trip to Monica and Klaus Isara and their beautiful hotel Melodia del Bosco.

Guided by Marco and his colleagues from the Dolomite Biking Guide Team we will gravel through the amazing valleys and high up into the unrivaled scenery around Peitlerkofel, Kreuzspitze and more impressive mountains. Up there at the huts we will enjoy the typical “Knödel” as well as the stunning view of Marmolata. We will hit the trails and dreamy roads. And if you’re up for it, you can even test your skills in the local trail park. And after the final “mountain challenge” to the hotel and the well-deserved shower we will end the day together with a beer or two.

The region:
Alta Badia is situated in South Tyrols Dolomites, just one hour by car from the passo del Brennero.

The hotel:
The beautiful hotel Melodia del Bosco will be our base for Gravel Land Alta Badia. Here we’ll find everything we need to start full of energy into our adventures and relax afterwards. Not only are there comfortable Single- and Twin-Bedrooms and great food, but also a bike garage with everything we need and a laundry service.

The beds in the double room can be pushed apart to make single beds.

The rides:
Every day we will offer guided rides in different levels. Our rides will be led by the experienced Dolomite Bike Guiding Team.

The sportive level:
Gravel Land Alta Badia is not about being the strongest, fastest, or fittest rider. We want you to enjoy the rides and explore the region together. Yet we must warn you: The climbs of the dolomites will test you. If you arrive at Gravel Land Alta Badia out of shape, the mountains will let you suffer. On the other hand, you’re welcome to test your legs in the climbs, as long as we all meet again up there for taking a break at some nice hut.

The good life:
Gravel Land Alta Badia is more than just cycling. We want you to enjoy the time off bike as well. Be it at the barbecue down in the valley, at the picnic high up on some mountain pasture or a visit at the local cheese dairy: Every day there will be a special culinary highlight for you.

The bikes:
You can explore the gravelroads of Alta Badia on your own bike or rent one on site. And like in 2021 we want to offer you some great bikes for testing again. Important: If you bring your own bike, we suggest you mount at least 40 mm wide tires with some decent grip. You also might want to bring a gearing that allows you to tackle the steep climbs of the Dolomites. And off course you are welcome to join our rides on your e-bike.
